a remake of Argento’s 1977 Suspiria. We follow Suzy Bannion as she learns how to perform her role as the protagonist. This version foregrounds the subtext of the 1977 film: its concern with fascistic power and violent revenge for breach of authority. The dark heart of the building infects Suzy, choreographing a struggle of power and insubordination as she is overpowered by the house.
